Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

1. Alcance y Enfoque / Scope and Focus

(ES) Esta sección recibe manuscritos originales e inéditos que presenten resultados finales de procesos de investigación científica y tecnológica. Los trabajos deben aportar conocimiento significativo en las áreas de Ingeniería, Ciencias Básicas y Ciencias Aplicadas. Se priorizan aquellos estudios que demuestren rigor metodológico, análisis crítico de datos y una contribución clara al estado del arte internacional.

(EN) This section accepts original and unpublished manuscripts that present final results of scientific and technological research processes. Works must contribute significant knowledge in the fields of Engineering, Basic Sciences, and Applied Sciences. Priority is given to those studies that demonstrate methodological rigor, critical data analysis, and a clear contribution to the international state of the art.

2. Tipología de Manuscritos / Typology of Manuscripts

  • Artículo de investigación científica y tecnológica / Scientific and Technological Research Article: (ES) Documento que presenta de manera detallada los resultados originales de proyectos terminados de investigación. / (EN) A document that presents, in detail, the original results of completed research projects.
  • Artículo de reflexión / Reflection Article: (ES) Presenta resultados de investigación terminada desde una perspectiva analítica, interpretativa o crítica del autor. / (EN) Presents results of completed research from the author's analytical, interpretive, or critical perspective.

3. Proceso de Evaluación por Pares / Peer Review Process

(ES) Evaluación por pares externos bajo la modalidad de doble ciego. / (EN) External double-blind peer review.

  • Revisión Editorial Inicial: Verificación de estilo y originalidad (Turnitin). Similitud < 15-20%.
  • Scientific Arbitration: At least two (2) expert evaluators without institutional affiliation to the authors.
  • Decisión Final / Final Decision: Editorial Committee based on peer reports.

4. Requisitos de los Autores / Author Requirements

Filiación / Affiliation: Debe indicarse claramente la institución / Clearly indicate the institution.
ORCID: Obligatorio para todos los autores / Mandatory for all authors. [Create ORCID]
Taxonomía CRediT: Se recomienda especificar responsabilidades / Recommended to specify responsibilities.

5. Ética y Originalidad / Ethics and Originality

(ES) TECCIENCIA se adhiere a los lineamientos de COPE. El plagio o fraude resultará en rechazo inmediato.
(EN) TECCIENCIA adheres to COPE guidelines. Plagiarism or fraud will result in immediate rejection.
